Update

After hand-in I was able to implement the changes that the client required, which was an almost complete revamp of around half of the report. However, this didn't take as long as I had anticipated as the changes mainly corresponded to the wordier sections of the report, meaning that the design remained the same. It did generate some issues, as the page layout had to change to accommodate all of the extra information.

One change was the addition of a volunteers hours badge to be used on certain articles, which has added another dimension to the report, and hyperlinks have been added for interactivity when viewed online.

At this current stage there has been some back and forth with the client to amend changes and add elements such as those above, although I am still waiting on the photographs in order to finish this document, plus some high resolution logos.

I am looking forward to being able to finalise this report, as it has been quite a long and arduous task and it will be a good feeling to have it completed and be able to hold the final product. As well as this report, I have a meeting with the client soon to discuss crafting a website for Our Happy Place, and an opportunity to adapt this design across media.

I do not have much experience with web design, and although I completed a double semester module on the subject it was geared towards creating a site using Dreamweaver and Flash, it seems that this approach is not used widely anymore. Instead, I will start to look into websites such as Wordpress, Wix and I-M that allow you to create sites from scratch or using templates online.
